WATCH: NYC Activists Gather in Solidarity with Protestors Against China's 'Zero COVID' Policy

'The United States should be fully on top of delivering sanctions to [Chinese] officials directly responsible for this' one Hong Kong native told Timcast

A hundred or so activists gathered in Washington Square Park in New York City on Dec. 4 in solidarity with the protests against the “Zero COVID” policy instated by the Chinese Communist Party.

Co-sponsors for the event included New Yorkers Supporting Hong Kong, Hong Kong Student Advocacy Group at NYU, Students for a Free Tibet, and the Uyghur American Association.

Timcast spoke with protestors about the possibility of reforming the CCP, whether the United States is responsible for taking action on behalf of those oppressed in China, and potential repercussions protestors could encounter here and abroad.
