Sarah Huckabee Sanders Shares Beer Koozies 'For Real Women' Amid Bud Light Boycott

The 'Governors Edition' beer can sleeves also feature Governors Kim Reynolds, Krisiti Noem, and Kay Ivey

Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders shared a parody ad for a line of beer koozies celebrating real women, joining in on anti-Bud Light backlash.

Anheuser-Busch has faced a multi-week boycott after consumers were outraged that the company’s Bud Light brand sponsored Dylan Mulvaney, a controversial transgender activist with an extensive following on TikTok.

Real women don’t have to fake it,” tweeted Sanders with a video advertising the beer holders. “We like our beer cold, not woke.”

In addition to Sanders, the “Real Women of Politics” Koozies feature Iowa Governor Kim Reynold, Alabama Governor Kay Ivey, and South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem.

“Today we salute all the real woman leaders of politics of this great country,” says the male narrator.

In the background, a woman sings, “Real women don’t have to fake it” over a montage of the featured governors.

“Some big companies can’t tell the difference between real and fake anymore,” the narrator continues. “That’s why we’re introducing the Real Women of Politics koozies.”

The voiceover adds, “If it covers up the label of a big woke company, well that works too.”

The video was released a few days after news broke that Bud Light’s vice president of marketing Alissa Heinerscheid is taking a leave of absence. A second marketing executive for the beer company, Daniel Blake, has since also gone on leave.

Bud Light sales have continuously declined, both in dollars and volume, since the company elected to feature Mulvaney, who posted about the sponsorship in a video marking “365 Days of Girlhood.” In response, conservative officials and influencers have encouraged the public to boycott all Anheuser-Busch products.

Governor Ivey also promoted the Koozies on Twitter.

Not everyone is cut out to be a woman,” the Republican tweeted. “But ladies, we’ve got your back (and your cold beverage)!”

“Evidently, corporate America needed a reminder of what a real woman is,” she added, sharing a link to WinRed where a Koozie with her image is available for purchase.

WinRed is a conservative fundraising platform that was launched in response to the Democratic platform, ActBlue.
