Libs of TikTok Obtains Leaked Internal Slack Convo Between Frustrated Twitter Employees Wanting to Ban Her

The owner of the popular Libs of TikTok Twitter account has obtained leaked screenshots of an internal Slack discussion about banning her from the platform.

The account, which reposts content created by leftists, was subjected to back-to-back suspensions in April. The owner, who has wanted to stay anonymous, was subsequently doxed by Washington Post writer Taylor Lorenz.

Libs of TikTok was suspended for a third time in June for creating a “mega-thread” with details about Pride month Drag Queen events being marketed as all-ages.

“It’s a disturbing trend; the Left has become obsessed with ensuring your 4-year-old has access to men dressed as women while dancing provocatively for cash. The fact that I was noticing—and drawing attention to how widespread this trend really is—seemed to trigger the Left. Big accounts on Twitter started calling for my suspension while labeling me a ‘domestic terrorist,'” Libs of TikTok wrote on Substack.

She added, “the below Slack conversation between Twitter employees occurred today against this backdrop, and echoes some of the charges leveled at us by far left activists. It was shared with us by a current Twitter employee, who wishes to remain anonymous. We verified the names and images of the employees before we obscured them.”

The thread began with a Twitter employee asserting that it “feels more likely that libsoftiktok will get a verified badge out of this than a platform ban, happy pride.” They also shared a link to a tweet from Media Matters’ LGBTQ Progam Director Ari Drennen, which said that the owner of the account is going to “get someone killed.”

An employee in the conversation added, “like i don’t get how this account, which exists solely to generate targeted violence at marginalized people, continues to be allowed to post.”

The next message asserted that “trans people are being targeted for genocidal violence during pride month,” seeming to be conflating her posts to the mass slaughter of people from a particular nation or ethnic group.

An employee expressed mock-concern that they could erode trust from Republicans who already accuse the platform of being “irredeemably biased” against them, prompting a response about they “successfully deplatformed Trump.”

“I don’t think deplatforming Libs of TikTok is going to cause a mass exodus but I guess it may not be in our ‘fiduciary’ interest to enact a ban on a high profile account right now…”

A deal to sell the platform to Elon Musk, who supports free speech, is still ongoing.

Responding to the leaked messages, Libs of TikTok wrote in her Substack post, “the only thing they’re willing to debate is what should be done about us. Do they take us out now for engaging in targeted genocidal violence, or wait for a more opportune time?”

“Perhaps most remarkable is how they parrot the same lines we hear from far-left activists. There’s no debate about whether we’re actually terrorists, bent on exterminating the entire LGBT community. In their view, that’s just a given. They believe right along with the extremist activists that we exist ‘soley to generate targeted violence at marginalized people.’ The only thing they’re willing to debate is what should be done about us. Do they take us out now for engaging in targeted genocidal violence, or wait for a more opportune time?” Libs of TikTok asked.

As of Tuesday afternoon, the account was still active.
