Khamenei Shares Animated Video Depicting Assassination of President Trump With Phrase 'Revenge is Definite'

The animates video was published on supreme leader Ali Khamenei's official website

The supreme leader of Iran has posted a video showing an animated version of President Donald Trump being killed.

The video, which was released on the evening of Jan. 13, was posted to the official website of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

In the animation, Trump is shown golfing at this home in Florida while Iranian military officials direct high-tech surveillance and unmanned combat vehicles to his property. An American flag is seen on the golf course where the animation of the former president is seen playing with four other men.

The video then cuts to a drone operator, who has a photo of Iranian General Qassem Soleimani, near his monitor. He send text messages to the cell phone of Trump and one other man that read “Soleimani’s murderer and the one who gave the order will pay the price.”

The video concludes before the airstrike is launched. The final black screen displays the message “Revenge is definite.”

“Last year, a Twitter account associated with Mr. Khamenei, a high-ranking Shia cleric or ayatollah, was suspended for posting an image of the shadow of a drone over an image of a plump Mr. Trump playing golf,” reports The Independent. “Posting the Trump video to Mr. Khamenei’s official website suggested a further escalation.”

The post comes days after the second anniversary of the drone strike that killed Soleimani on Jan. 2, 2020. Soleimani had led the Iranian Revolutionary Guards’ Quds Force, which was regarded as a terrorist organization by the United States.

“General Soleimani and his Quds Force were responsible for the deaths of hundreds of American and coalition service members and the wounding of thousands more,” the Pentagon said in a statement after Trump ordered the attack. “He had orchestrated attacks on coalition bases in Iraq over the last several months – including the attack on December 27th – culminating in the death and wounding of additional American and Iraqi personnel. General Soleimani also approved the attacks on the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad that took place this week.”

The video, which last about two minutes, was made as part of a competition honoring Soleimani.

The general and Khamenei are understood to have had a personal relationship.

Another video posted to the Iranian leader’s website shows a smartphone displaying the word revenge in several languages.

“Those who martyred Gen Soleimani – Trump and the like – will be among the forgotten ones,” said a displayed quote, which is attributed to Mr. Khamenei. “But Soleimani will live on forever. His enemies will disappear, but after having received retribution in this world for their crime, God willing.”

In a televised speech earlier this month, the president of Iran Ebrahim Raisi said that Trump must face justice for the drone strike and Soleimani’s death otherwise his country would seek revenge.

“If not, I’m telling all American leaders, don’t doubt that the hand of revenge will come out of the sleeves of ummah,” Raisi said, referring to the world’s Muslim population.
