Biden Used Alias For Secret Ukraine Business Dealings, Congressman Says

House Oversight Committee is seeking unredacted documents from NARA

House Oversight Committee Chair James Comer has sent a letter to the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) requesting unredacted communications from President Joe Biden’s time as Vice President in which he used the pseudonym “Robert L. Peters.”

Biden is alleged to have used the fake name to communicate with Ukrainian business contacts about questionable deals involving his son, which have been under investigation by federal authorities.

The Oversight Committee advised NARA that redacted versions of many of the records have already been published. However, the committee is seeking “unrestricted special access” to the records.

The letter explains that congressional officials are aware of a document detailing a phone call between Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko and Biden, but that, “It is concerning to the Committee, however that this document was sent to ‘Robert L. Peters’— a pseudonym the Committee has identified as then Vice-President Biden.”

Recently, U.S. Sen. Chuck Grassley released documents showing potentially illicit ties between the Biden family and Ukrainian officials. Alleged in the disclosure is that $10 million were paid to Biden and his son Hunter — each of whom is said to have received $5 million. The bribery scheme was related to Biden using his influence as vice president to have a prosecutor fired who was investigating Burisma, a Ukrainian energy company.

Soon after, it was confirmed that the FBI did corroborate parts of the document showing the Bidens accepted the bribe.

“The Committee is concerned that foreign nationals have sought access and influence by engaging in lucrative business relationships with high-profile political figures’ immediate family members, including members of the Biden family,” the committee told NARA in the letter.

“Joe Biden has stated there was ‘an absolute wall’ between his family’s foreign business schemes and his duties as Vice President, but evidence reveals that access was wide open for his family’s influence peddling,” Comer said in a statement.

“We already have evidence of then-Vice President Biden speaking, dining, and having coffee with his son’s foreign business associates,” he added. “We also know that Hunter Biden and his associates were informed of then-Vice President Biden’s official government duties in countries where they had a financial interest. The National Archives must provide these unredacted records to further our investigation into the Biden family’s corruption.”
