Officials at the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) agency say the country is on pace for another record month of illegal border crossings.
CBP sources are estimating that August numbers are expected to exceed 230,000 for migrant encounters, making it the sixth month this fiscal year that such a number was hit.
BREAKING: CBP sources tell @FoxNews that early indications show migrant encounters for August are on track to exceed 230,000… that would make it the 6th month this FY23 over 200k…

Illegal border crossings have surged since President Joe Biden was sworn in. In 2022, for the first time in history, Border Patrol agents had a staggering two million migrant encounters.
The flow of illegal aliens from numerous countries around the world continues unabated as the Biden administration’s policies have effectively resulted in open borders.
Fox News reporter Bill Melugin, who regularly covers the U.S. southern border, posted fresh images of thousands of illegal aliens — mostly military aged men without women or children — being detained in a holding area in Tucson, Arizona.
NEW: Images from Ajo, AZ show illegal immigrants being detained in an outdoor Border Patrol holding area yesterday as the Tucson, AZ sector is overwhelmed & CBP facilities there are overcapacity. The sector has seen approx 2,000 illegal crossings per day last 3 days in a row &… pic.twitter.com/rqp2MKOuF3

CBP officials say this sector is over capacity and is seeing roughly 2,000 illegal border crossings per day, though Melguin said in a separate post that CBP encountered 9,000 migrants on both Monday and Tuesday of this week.
As the White House claims “progress” and “stopping the flow” at the border:
– CBP encountered 9,000+ migrants on both Mon & Tues.
– August CBP encounters will be approx. 230,000 when released, highest of 2023.
– CBP facilities overcapacity, street releases underway in AZ & SD.— Bill Melugin (@BillMelugin_) September 13, 2023
Officials have begun to release the men onto the streets to decompress the facility and provide relief for overworked staff.
John Fabbricatore, Retired Field Office Director for the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), has been in Tucson capturing photos and video. He says that four Border Patrol agents were working to process 260 male illegal aliens, while a group of “gotaways” — migrants who physically evade authorities — crashed through the fence.
“No law enforcement officer should have to deal with that,” Fabbricatore wrote on social media platform X. “This administration has turned its back on the Border Patrol, on ICE, and on the border communities.”
I witnessed this the last two days in Lukeville, AZ. The Border Patrol is overwhelmed yet they are still holding the line the best they can. At one point I was filming and there were 260 male illegal aliens to 4 Border Patrol agents while a group of got-aways probably smugglers… https://t.co/ROZdIvuKk8

Fabbricatore was responding to a post from the Border Patrol Union who also blasted the Biden administration in a searing post, effectively saying the White House is sabotaging the agency to hamper its enforcement efforts, writing:
DHS personnel in Arizona are now using the term “freedom runs” when instructing BP agents about mass releases of illegal aliens in Tucson.
There is almost no manpower left for enforcement duties as agents’ calls for assistance go unanswered and the vast majority are tied up with huge numbers of surrendering border crashers. Agents have been instructed to prioritize the processing of surrendering illegal aliens instead of patrolling the border.
And while all this sanctioned lawlessness ties up resources, the murderous cartel thugs continue to run hugely successful border operations while making billions of dollars smuggling millions of illegal aliens, tons of fentanyl and whatever else they want to send here, courtesy of Joe Biden.
The Biden Admin will not be satisfied until every last spark of BP agent morale is extinguished.
The Center for Immigration Studies (CIS) has stated that the Biden administration is intentionally gutting enforcement of immigration laws and is doing so because Biden believes U.S. immigration laws are inequitable.
