Cruz Says Democrats Would Support Biden Even If There Was Video Evidence Of Him Engaging In Corruption

'We Could Literally Have Video Of Russian And Ukrainian Oligarchs Handing Joe Biden Bags Of Cash ... That Would Not Be Enough To Move A Single Democrat Vote'

Texas Senator Ted Cruz said Democrats would support President Joe Biden even if there were video evidence of him engaging in corrupt business dealings.

The Texas Senator made his comment during a Monday episode of his podcast Verdict With Ted Cruz.

Cruz’s comments follow the Republican-controlled House of Representatives consideration of launching an impeachment inquiry into Biden’s alleged corrupt business dealings in Ukraine with his son Hunter.

“Statutes of limitations don’t apply to impeachment,” Cruz told Ferguson. “So, one remedy that remains there is impeaching Joe Biden for bribery. And if the House demonstrates evidence of bribery, the House should impeach him.”

Cruz criticized Senate Democrats, saying if they had a “shred of integrity,” they would vote to remove the President if it is proven that Biden solicited and received millions of dollars of bribes from foreign nationals.

“Now, I’m not naive enough to think that there’s even a single Democrat who cares,” the Texas Senator continued. “We could literally have video of Russian and Ukrainian oligarchs handing Joe Biden bags of cash or three-carat diamonds or sports cars or watches, and that would not be enough to move a single Democrat vote.”

Senator Cruz acknowledged that despite evidence being found implicating President Biden in his alleged corrupt dealings, there was no feasible way to prosecute the President criminally, citing United States Attorney General Merrick Garland saying he would “never ever, ever prosecute Joe Biden.”

“Merrick Garland sent his own integrity up the river,” he continued. “And it’s sad because the guy used to be a respected federal judge, and he’s going to go down in history, I believe, as the most partisan Attorney General in U.S. history.”

Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy has expressed Congress’ intent to hold an impeachment inquiry regarding Biden’s alleged corrupt business dealings.

“I haven’t seen an administration act this way at the same time as Nixon did by withholding information,” McCarthy said in late July, comparing the Biden administration’s alleged business dealings to former president Richard Nixon. “If they do not provide the information we need, then we would go to an impeachment inquiry.”

Former President Trump commented on the proposed Republican impeachment inquiry, noting his two impeachment attempts by the then-Democrat-controlled House were done without inquiry.

“I NEVER HAD AN IMPEACHMENT INQUIRY,” the former President said in a Truth Social post. “I HAD AN IMPEACHMENT, WHICH I WON!”

“IT WAS STARTED IMMEDIATELY,” he continued. “NO MEETINGS, NO STUDY, NO DELAYS. THE LUNATIC FASCHISTS & MARXISTS PLAY THE GAME DIFFERENTLY.”

“THEY ARE OUT TO DESTROY AMERICA. MAGA!”
