'BEST IDEA I'VE HEARD IN A LONG TIME': Trump Expresses Interest in Early Voting, Drop Boxes for Republicans

'PUT THEM ALL OVER THE PLACE. RNC, EVERY REPUBLICAN, GET TO WORK ON THIS NOW!!!'

On Thursday, former President Donald Trump expressed interest in Republicans altering their ballot collection strategy.

Republican voters typically vote in person on Election Day, though sentiment surrounding early voting and ballot harvesting measures have grown among Republican activists and strategists following the widespread adoption of the practices by Democratic opposition in the 2020 Presidential election and 2022 midterm.

Human Events Senior Editor Jack Posobiec suggested the adoption of drop boxes at churches to increase the Republican ballot return rate.

“I don’t know who needs to hear this but Republicans should put ballot drop boxes in the back of churches in every state where it’s legal,” Posobiec shared to Truth Social.

“BEST IDEA I’VE HEARD IN A LONG TIME…PUT THEM ALL OVER THE PLACE. RNC, EVERY REPUBLICAN, GET TO WORK ON THIS NOW!!!” Trump wrote in a quote truth response.

Trump has previously expressed criticism of Democratic opponents’ push for early voting through mail-in ballots and drop boxes calling for tighter regulation in voting procedures. However, political strategists have suggested Republicans adopt similar strategies in an effort to “beat them at their own game.”

Political activist Scott Presler similarly expressed agreement in the strategy shift announcing the launch of his Early Vote Action (EVA) political action committee (PAC) in January.

EVA aims to build early and mail-in voting infrastructures in battleground states including Arizona, North Carolina, Nevada, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin.

“[EVA is a] Super PAC established to prioritize increasing voter registration, along with increasing absentee voting and early voting participation, beginning with key 2024 swing states,” reads the press release.

EVA will build on an “established network of grassroots support” established by Presler’s previous efforts to increase voter registration across the country.

“With Republicans having been soundly defeated by the Left regarding pre-Election Day voting in past cycles, EVA will lead the fight to increase overall turnout of Republicans in elections through mobilization of Republicans towards whichever method of voting in each respective state is available at the earliest possible time, from Active Early Voting List registration and participation in Arizona to ballot harvesting in Nevada.”

“EVA plans to recruit and mobilize volunteers from all 50 states,” the press release continues. “Through the launch of EVA’s Sister City Program, volunteers in regions historically overlooked due to their solid red or blue political coloring will be targeted to increase the volunteer pool to drive registration and vote collection in key battleground states necessary to achieve nationwide conservative success.”

“Scott Presler is well-positioned to leverage his conservative network and standing to build the infrastructure necessary to achieve victory in this upcoming election cycle and for years to come,” the press release concluded.

Pressler said he credits former President Obama for his activism.

“He made me point a finger back at myself, and ask, ‘What are you doing to help your country?'”
