A reporter asked White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre the big question on everyone’s minds — “is Joe Biden woke?”
Newsmax White House Correspondent James Rosen asked the question during Tuesday’s briefing.
“One of the most prominent themes that we hear from both elected Republicans and candidates has to do with what is called woke-ism,” Rosen began. “And we hear about an anti-woke agenda. And this entire subject reminds me of what Supreme Court Justice Potter Stewart once said about ‘obscenity.’ And he couldn’t define it, but he knew it when he saw it.”
Rosen continued, “to wit, is President Biden woke?”
JAMES ROSEN: “Is President Biden WOKE?”

Jean-Pierre danced around the question.
“So, let me tell you what the president cares about and what’s important to this president,” Jean-Pierre began. “The president doesn’t concern himself about what Republicans are trying to do in creating political stunts and making an issue out of the things that they feel benefits them politically, not the American people, not what matters to the American people, but what benefits them politically for their own ability to move forward.”
The press secretary continued, “what the president cares about is exactly what I just talked about, and what he talked about at the legislative conference, which is, how are we going to continue to deliver for the American people?”
According to the Urban Dictionary entry on the definition of “Woke,” the term originally meant that someone was aware of social injustices. However, the meaning has changed over time and as of now, “the original meaning is slowly fading and instead, is used more often to term someone as hypocritical and think they are the ‘enlightened’ despite the fact that they are extremely close-minded and are unable to accept other people’s criticism or different perspective. Especially considering the existence of echo chamber(media) that helped them to find other like-minded individuals, thus, further solidifying their ‘progressive’ opinion.”

During a rebuttal to Biden’s State of the Union address last week, Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders asserted, “I’m the first woman to lead my state and [Biden] is the first man to surrender his presidency to a woke mob that can’t even tell you what a woman is.”
