WATCH: 'Rage Against the War Machine' Rally Draws Crowd in Washington DC

Kim Iverson: 'We have to get our voices heard. It's the only way they'll actually listen to us.'

The Libertarian Party and the People’s Party presented a “Rage Against the War Machine” anti-war rally at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington D.C. on Feb. 19.

Advocates at the rally issued demands that included cutting off funding for the war in Ukraine, negotiating peace, disbanding NATO, slashing the Pentagon’s budget, abolishing the CIA and the military-industrial deep state, restoring civil liberties, and freeing Julian Assange.

About a thousand protestors attended the event that included speeches from Ron Paul, Tulsi Gabbard, comedian and political commentator Jimmy Dore, anti-war activist Scott Horton and journalist Chris Hedges.

Timcast was on the scene to speak with attendees about whether or not it’s contradictory for one to support Putin at the same time one opposes war, NATO’s provocations that preceded Russia’s invasion, the political diversity of the crowd, and varying perceptions of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
