WATCH: Protest Against Vaccine Mandates at NY College Met with Counter-Protesters

Elad Eliahu speaks with protesters who are for and against vaccine mandates

Students who support and oppose vaccine mandates gathered at Stony Brook University in Brookhaven, New York, on Sept. 12. The organized protest was sponsored by Turning Point USA, a non-profit dedicated to promoting the principles of freedom, free market, and limited government among young people.

Elad Eliahu interviewed protesters on both sides of the issue. Those against vaccine mandates told Timcast that they should have the right to make their own healthcare decisions, whereas those with a favorable view of such mandates expressed concerns for their health and the wellbeing of those around them.

Good vid man – you’ve got the non-confrontational approach that makes people comfortable enough to talk to you. Nice body language with the nodding.

  2. gatonthegreat says:

Why even interview the pro vax people. They all just parrot the same garbage anyway. Everyone knows what they’re going to say.

  3. Ozcarmike says:

Love your stuff Elad, good to see you join Tim’s team. Would love to see you ask these kids who throw out the “fascist” categorization, “what about these groups makes them fascist?”. Saying such things while holding a sign in support of a mandate is a strange juxtaposition.

older people having a less of a immune response to the jab is a interesting argument

  5. ohiomom says:

I wonder if any of these people know how many # of deaths reported after vaccine and what their reaction would be

Nice work. I like this guy’s style.

In days gone by, college students would not just be ex-high schoolers who whine out of ignorance and self-interest aka authoritarianism. They’d first make sure they were up on some legit info before holding forth.

All I heard was ideology recitation, no critical thinking.

I weep for my country’s future.

Good job interviewing the students and trying to get honest opinions without leading them too much. Disappointing to see the opinions held, and even more so to see that even the anti-mandate rally were all vaccinated.

We’d best hope that nothing goes awry with the vaccine or the follow-up booster shot or a sizable portion of the population will be at risk.
