Former President Donald Trump will reportedly not have a mugshot taken or be handcuffed during his arraignment on Tuesday.
Trump is scheduled to be arraigned in Miami at 3 p.m. on 37 federal felony charges alleging that he mishandled classified documents.
CBS News reports, “Trump will be booked either just before, or just after, the arraignment, depending on when he arrives.”
The report cites an unnamed official “familiar with the planning” who told CBS News that “Trump will not be ‘arrested,’ but instead ‘processed’ and in the loose custody of the U.S. Marshals.”
“There will not be a mugshot, officials said,” per the CBS report. “The U.S. Marshals Service has determined it will use a previously taken photo. They will administer a digital fingerprint scan and collect typical information: date of birth, Social Security and recent address history. A decision about his passport will be made by pretrial services.”
ABC News reporter Katherine Faulders added that Trump is not expected to be handcuffed or need to empty his pockets during processing.

Though these are the former president’s first federal charges, he was also indicted by a Manhattan grand jury in April on charges that he falsified business records related to a hush money payment to porn star Stormy Daniels.
New York law enforcement took Trump’s fingerprints but did not handcuff or photograph him during that arraignment.
The Trump campaign now sells t-shirts with a fake mugshot of the former president and the words “NOT GUILTY” for $47.

Trump maintains that he is innocent in both cases. He is the first former president to ever face federal charges.
There is currently an ongoing protest outside the courthouse ahead of Trump’s arrival. Timcast News will be providing updates on the situation throughout the day.
