Transgender UK Parliament Member Proposes Sending Ukraine Condoms, Lubricant

The statements were made during a Zoom call with comedians who were pranking the lawmaker

The U.K.’s only openly transgender Parliament member, Jamie Wallis, recently proposed sending condoms, lubricant, and various hygiene products to Ukrainian soldiers who are members of the LGBTQ community.

Wallis flouted the idea during a Zoom call, when he thought he was speaking with former chess grandmaster Garry Kasparov (now a Russian dissident), but was actually speaking with Russian comedians Vovan and Lexus.

Vovan and Lexus are known for prank phone calls to prominent people. The pair have pranked many high-profile individuals, including: former Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev, U.S. House Rep. Adam Schiff, Vice-President Kamala Harris, and author J.K. Rowling.

The comedians posted the call with Wallis to their Rumble account on Aug. 28, after getting him to promote transgenderism in schools.

Wallis said:

“I think sex toys is going to be tough, but anything to do with hygiene or prevention of STDs [sexually transmitted diseases] is a definite one, so condoms, lubricants, cleaning equipment, things like that, would be absolutely not a problem.

Actually, I think if President Zelensky would be there to welcome the delivery of such a donation, that would be very significant. That would be a global moment of arms reaching out.”

Wallis announced in March 2022 that he has gender dysphoria and that he had known since her was a young child.

“I had no intention of ever sharing this with you,” he wrote in a social media post on the platform X, formerly known as Twitter. “I always imagined I would leave politics well before I ever said this out loud.”

Wallis added that two years prior he was blackmailed by someone who wanted to “out” him and threatened to send photos to his father and other family members. The suspect wanted £50,000 ($63,083) to remain quiet.

He also said in the statement that he had recently been raped by a man with whom he was supposed to have an “hook up” with, after the man said he refused Wallis’ request to wear a condom.

In a follow-up statement, he expressed thanks for the support he received, while stating his intention to continue using he/him/his pronouns.
