Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene Walks Around Capitol With 'Innocent' Big White Balloon Ahead of SOTU (VIDEOS)

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene was doing a little trolling as she walked around the Capitol with a large “innocent” white balloon ahead of President Joe Biden’s State of the Union address on Tuesday.

Rep. Greene has been very outspoken and critical of the president’s response to a Chinese surveillance balloon that was allowed to float across the nation before being shot down.

The congresswoman from Georgia posted a video of herself walking around the Capitol with the balloon, writing in a tweet that it was “just an innocent white balloon.”

Speaking to Fox News, Rep. Greene said that the balloon is the “number one thing” President Biden should address in his speech.

“The number one thing he needs to address is hovering above me,” Rep. Greene said. “The American people are still extremely upset and terrified that the president of the United States allowed China to fly a spy balloon across our country. As a matter of fact, they knew about it on January 28th. The president knew about it. The Pentagon knew about it.”

“But they allowed China to bring their spy balloon into our airspace, traverse the entire country, spying on our military at military bases, food factories, cities, our entire infrastructure before it left the country, and they finally shot it down,” the congresswoman continued. “That’s what Americans still have on their minds.”

The balloon was first spotted by North American Aerospace Defense Command over Alaska on January 28. The balloon floated over Canada and back into the United States over Montana.

For the next week, the balloon was allowed to cross the continental United States before being shot down on Saturday.

“President Biden needs to explain what happened,” Greene said. “He needs to apologize to America, and he needs to tell Americans how he’s going to be tough on China.”

The Pentagon has said that the balloon was roughly 200 feet tall, and the payload assembly is estimated to be the size of three school buses.
