Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene and New York Young Republican Club to Protest Trump's Indictment in Manhattan

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene will join the New York Young Republicans in Manhattan to protest former President Donald Trump’s arraignment on Tuesday afternoon.

The protest is scheduled for Tuesday at noon in Collect Pond Park.

Trump has said he will travel to New York on Monday and surrender on Tuesday.

“I will be leaving Mar-a-Lago on Monday at 12 noon, heading to Trump Tower in New York,” Trump wrote in a post on Truth Social over the weekend. “On Tuesday morning I will be going to, believe it or not, the Courthouse. America was not supposed to be this way!”

According to the event page for the rally, political commentators Jack Posobiec and Graham Allen will also attend.

Rep. Greene announced that she was going on her Twitter account Sunday morning.

“Protesting is a constitutional right and I am going to NY on Tuesday to protest this unprecedented abuse of our justice system and election interference,” Greene tweeted.

The congresswoman warned in advance that any violent actors would be promptly disavowed.

“I also reject any attempt and anyone who dresses in MAGA but incites violence or commits violence while pretending to be one of us. You are not one of us, you are one of them,” Rep. Greene continued.

Greene concluded, “we will not live in fear and we will lawfully stand against tyranny and corruption while we show our support for President Trump.”

In a statement provided to Timcast News, NYYRC President Gavin Wax said that “we invite all Americans angered by Alvin Bragg’s activist persecution and prosecution of President Donald J. Trump to join us on Tuesday in peaceful protest of President Trump’s arrest and arraignment.”

“It is imperative that the American people recognize the peril that Bragg and the broader Democrat machine have inflicted on our nation, and we see this protest as one step in many toward building that awareness,” Wax told Timcast News.

After the news of Trump’s indictment by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg broke, the NYYRC declared that “this is total war.”

“President Trump assured us that he was our retribution,” the organization said in a statement shortly after the indictment was announced. “Now we must return the rejoinder: our victory will be the joint vindication that our great President Donald J. Trump and our American people both deserve. This is Total War.”

The NYPD reportedly has officers placed on alert in case of “potential unrest” during or after the surrender.
