Bernice King, the daughter of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., called out actress Amy Schumer for using her father’s image in a pro-Israel social media post.
The actress, a relative of Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, had posted videos of King saying that Israel has a right to exist and condemning antisemitism.

Schumer has been posting in support of Israel since the war began.
King’s daughter, the CEO of the Martin Luther King Jr. Center for Nonviolent Social Change, responded to the post, writing, “Amy: Certainly, my father was against antisemitism, as am I. He also believed militarism (along with racism and poverty) to be among the interconnected Triple Evils. I am certain he would call for Israel’s bombing of Palestinians to cease, for hostages to be released and for us to work for true peace, which includes justice.”

She went on to quote her father saying, “Justice at its best is love correcting everything that stands against love.”

The actress has not replied to King’s comments.
