Joe Rogan Calls Medical Gender Transition For Minors 'Childhood Mutilation'

'The Changes Happen To Your Body During Puberty And If You Stop Those Changes ... You Can’t Reverse That'

Comedian and podcaster Joe Rogan criticized “gender affirming care” as “childhood mutilation.”

Rogan made his remarks during a Saturday episode of The Joe Rogan Experience with fellow comedian and talk show host Bill Maher.

“What scares me about this is what they’re doing with children,” Rogan said. “It’s terrifying that they’re calling it ‘gender affirming care’ when it’s really childhood mutilation before you have the ability to figure out what ‘permanent’ means.”

“You’re f—ing seven years old,” the comedian continued, detailing children aren’t allowed to get their face tattooed, go to war, or get married. “There’s reasons for all that stuff. You’re too young.”

“And this idea that you should be able to make life changing choices like hormone blockers, which are not reversible, no matter what the f— they say,” Rogan said, adding arguments in favor of hormone blockers for minors cite reversibility. “No, the changes happened to your body during puberty and if you stop those changes, that change, you can’t reverse that.”

“You’re going to have a micro penis, you’re taking estrogen while your body is developing, you’re blocking testosterone,” he said. “If you’re doing all that stuff, it’s going to have an effect on your body.”

“Now if you’re happy with that effect, and you don’t care, okay, but how many people aren’t?” he continued. “And how many people are young? And how many detransitioners are there who have horrible stories? And you’re a monster and a bigot if you even bring that up, which is f—ing insane.”

During the episode, Maher criticized “woke” ideology as similar to the beliefs of the Ku Klux Klan.

Maher also praised Rogan, referring to him as a “liberal back when they were more reasonable before they became leftists.”

The guest comedian said modern liberals needed to become leftists.

“I’m always trying to make the case that liberal is a different animal than woke, because it is, and you can be woke with all the nonsense that that now implies,” Maher said, adding “woke” ideology was an “undoing” of liberalism. “I have always believed, as liberals do, for example, in a colorblind society, that the goal is to not see race at all, anywhere, for any reason. That’s what liberals always believed all the way through Obama, going back Kennedy, everybody, Martin Luther King.”

“That’s not what the woke believe,” Maher added. “They believe race is first and foremost, the thing you should always see everywhere, which I find interesting because that used to be the position of the Ku Klux Klan — that we see race first and foremost, everywhere. So again, you can have that position. But don’t say that’s a liberal position. You’re doing something very different.”
