Former Trump-era White House lawyer Ty Cobb warned the former President against presenting his report on Presidential Election fraud in the state of Georgia next week.
Cobb referred to Trump’s latest indictment as a “very effective” and “strong case,” adding it was important that the former President was listed as a defendant in the Georgia charges.
Cobb referred to Trump’s Tuesday announcement of an “large, complex, detailed” and “irrefutable” report on election fraud as “all Trump PR.” The attorney warned the former President against following through with the presentation.
“This is, you know, generating chaos. I mean, frankly, there’s a good chance that whatever document he produces ends up as evidence against him,” Cobb said during a Tuesday night appearance on CNN. “It could even end up as the basis for an obstruction count against the author because it’s likely to be fiction and solely for the purpose of contaminating the jury pool.”

“The absence of evidence of fraud is patently evident,” he said. “Anybody who’s followed the Georgia events, and certainly anybody who reads this indictment, will be able to see how fraudulently those claims were made.”
Cobb said Georgia governor Brian Kemp and Georgia Brad Raffensperger deserve a “pat on the back” for putting “country before party.”
“A Large, Complex, Detailed but Irrefutable REPORT on the Presidential Election Fraud which took place in Georgia is almost complete & will be presented by me at a major News Conference at 11:00 A.M. on Monday of next week in Bedminster, New Jersey,” Trump wrote to Truth Social. “Based on the results of this CONCLUSIVE Report, all charges should be dropped against me & others – There will be a complete EXONERATION! They never went after those that Rigged the Election.”

Trump has been indicted by Fulton County, Georgia district attorney over allegations of violating the Georgia Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO). Eighteen others have been charged along with the former President over the RICO Act and other alleged acts to conspire in regards to the 2020 presidential election.
Every individual charged, including Trump, is charged with one count of violating the RICO Act in Fulton County and elsewhere “to accomplish the illegal goal of allowing Donald J Trump to seize the presidential term of office, beginning on January, 2021,” said Willis during a Monday night press conference following the issued indictment.
“I remind everyone here that an indictment is only a series of allegations based on a grand jury’s determination of probable cause to support the charges,” she concluded. “It is now the duty of my office to prove these charges in the indictment beyond a reasonable doubt at trial.”
Defendants have been given the opportunity to voluntarily surrender no later than noon on Aug. 25, the Fulton County DA said. All 19 defendants will be tried together.
This is Trump’s fourth indictment.
