CLASS PASS: California the First State to Mandate Vaccines or Weekly Tests for Teachers

California will be the first state in the nation to mandate vaccines or weekly COVID tests for all teachers and school employees.

Governor Gavin Newsom is expected to announce the decision Wednesday afternoon.

“The new policy will mirror Newsom’s recent order that all of California’s  be vaccinated or be tested regularly, according to Politico, which  the new policy,” reports Forbes.

“The plan has already gotten the approval from California’s two most influential teachers unions, the California Teachers Association and the California Federation of Teachers,” adds the magazine.

The order will take effect in mid-October and impact 319,000 employees working at the Golden State’s public schools.

Dr. Anthony Fauci backs the decision to mandate vaccines for America’s educators.

“I’m going to upset some people on this, but I think we should,” he told MSNBC on Tuesday.

“We are in a critical situation now,” he added. “We’ve had 615,000-plus deaths and we are in a major surge now as we’re going into the fall, into the school season. This is very serious business. You would wish that people would see why it’s so important to get vaccinated.”
