'Bentkey' Hits Number 1 On Apple Charts

The Daily Wire's New Children's App Has Surpassed YouTube Kids And Paw Patrol Academy

Conservative media outlet The Daily Wire’s new children’s app and streaming service Bentkey has hit number 1 on Apple’s app store.

The app, which currently boasts over 150 episodes of children’s content across 18 different series, was the most downloaded free app for kids in Apple’s store following a surprise Monday launch. Bentkey has currently surpassed YouTube Kids and Paw Patrol Academy on Apple’s store, per The Daily Wire.

The surprise announcement from the conservative media outlet fell on the 100th anniversary of The Walt Disney Company.

Four of the 18 shows are Bentkey originals — referred to as “Bentkey Adventures” — include A Wonderful Day with Mabel Maclay, Chip Chilla, and Kid Fit Go!

New episodes will premiere every Saturday morning and new series will be continuously added to Bentkey’s growing library.

Bentkey is available for download on desktop, Apple iOS devices, AppleTV, Roku, Android, and FireTV.

“While Disney still uses Walt’s name, they have all but abandoned his legacy,” co-CEO of The Daily Wire Jeremy Boreing said of Bentkey.

Boreing is currently directing The Daily Wire’s Pendragon series set to premiere on the outlet’s flagship streaming service, DailyWire+.

“Walt Disney loved America. The company he founded seems to think America is systemically racist, and beyond just their content Disney as a corporation pushes all the worst excesses of the woke Left,” Boreing said. “It would be impossible to overstate just how big a loss this is for Americans who believe in basic reality. Disney controls the greatest content library ever created.”

The Daily Wire’s new children’s streaming service is a reference to a bent key co-CEO Boreing has worn around his neck for 28 years.

“Bentkey isn’t about teaching kids politics,” Boreing said of The Daily Wire’s decision to separate their children’s content from DailyWire+. “It’s about childhood and wonder and adventure … [and is] dedicated to creating the next generation of timeless stories that transport kids into a world of imagination and joy, a world of content and characters that families will love and parents can trust.”

“It’s taken 100 years to build Disney,” he continued. “We know we aren’t what Disney is today, but we hope in time we might become what they were, once upon a time: a little studio with big ideas and the courage to chase them.”

Matt Walsh of The Daily Wire provides a brief voice cameo in Bentkey’s original, Chip Chilla.

“This is why I’m proud to work at The Daily Wire,” Walsh said of the outlet’s latest endeavor. “Instead of complaining about the culture, we are actively trying to change it and shape it — and taking the considerable risks that those efforts require. The critics will continue to chirp. And we will continue doing what none of them have the skill or wherewithal to do.”
