'A Disgrace To Our Country': Critics Respond To Weekend Pride Event At White House

Critics Also Noted The Progress Pride Flag Violated American Flag Code

President Biden is facing backlash after two transgender individuals appeared topless outside the White House during a Saturday Pride event.

Transgender-identifying activist Rose Montoya, who met with the President and First Lady during the event, was seen topless alongside a fellow transgender-identifying person with visible mastectomy scars.

Montoya highlighted the event in a TikTok video.

“Happy Pride month,” President Biden says on stage in Montoya’s video. “Happy Pride year. Happy Pride life.”

Montoya is later featured posing with fellow attendees including notable transgender-identifying activist Jazz Jennings.

I had the honor of attending White House Pride, the largest one in history where the pride flag flew for the first time. This is trans joy. We’re here at the white house unapologetically trans, queer, and brown 💕 #foryourpride #pridemonth #whitehouse #potus #flotus #dcpride #trans #transjoy #lgbt

President Biden received backlash for hosting the Pride event at the White House.

Libs of TikTok referred to the event as “a disgrace to our country.”

“Imagine if Jenna Jameson did this at a Trump event at the White House,” said one user of the event, speculating that the adult film actress appearing at the White House would be the “top story on the evening news.”

Columnist Karol Markowicz echoed the user’s sentiment of hypocrisy.

“If a Republican president befouled the White House like this there would be a dozen think pieces from conservatives about how wrong it is,” she said. “Where are the sane liberals calling this disgusting behavior out? Stop hiding under your beds.”

“Liberals actually love that conservatives are fighting the gender wars for them,” Markowicz continued. “They escape the in-fighting while knowing that things have gone way too far, biological men shouldn’t compete in women’s sports, and fingers crossed the right wins this one.”

Another user mocked the president’s remarks referring to LGBTQ attendees as “the bravest and most inspiring people I’ve ever known.”

“You know, not Churchill, Madison, or Jefferson,” the user said referencing notable political figures. “Just your average everyday transgender, that’s what does it.”

Critics also noted the event featured the progress pride flag draped in between two American Flags outside the White House, which one user claimed to be a violation of the American flag code.

“No, this isn’t another hookers-n-blow photo from Hunter’s laptop, it was the Pride party on the White House lawn two days ago hosted by Joe,” said radio host Dana Loesch. “They also didn’t hang the American flag right according to code.”

“Apparently it’s ok to go topless if you had a medically unnecessary breast removal surgery or if you’re a man with implants,” Loesch said.

“The adults are back in charge!” National Review contributor Pradheep J. Shanker said, mocking a Democratic pundit talking point following the 2020 Presidential Election.

“This is a GOP campaign ad for the Fall of 2024. If you think this is going to play well in Georgia, Ohio, Michigan, Wisconsin and Iowa, you are delusional.”
