Twitter Suspends Account That Created Pedophilia Pride Flag In Celebration Of 'Alice Day'

Musk: 'Not Tolerated On This Platform'

Twitter suspended an account that created a pride flag representing pedophilia.

A Twitter user named “Pot Luck” using the handle “@ZeebDemon” shared a pedophilia pride flag they created in a Tuesday post. The user referred to the idea of pedophilia as one being a “youth attracted person” (YAP).

“Happy Alice Day to those who celebrate! I figured, why not use today to unveil the YAP (Youth Attracted Person) pride flag I designed almost a year ago?” wrote the account providing an image of the flag. “I wanted to stray from the oft used horizontal bars motif, but only a little.”

“I wanted to retain some familiarity.”

The flag features a series of violet and magenta stripes appearing to resemble other pride flags representing a myriad of sexual identities and orientations. The pedophilia flag, however, features the magenta and violet stripes in different shades in a diagonal direction accompanied by a yellow exterior and white interior “v.”

“Elon Musk suspended the person who made a pedophilia flag,” wrote one user, noting the account had been suspended. “Well done, Elon.”

Twitter owner Elon Musk replied to the user stating, “Not tolerated on this platform.”

“Attraction is not abuse. And abuse is not love. Love is love,” wrote the suspended user in a previous post documented by Gays Against Groomers, an organization that fights child sexualization. “Defy hate. Dismantle systemic oppression. Stand in solidarity against bigotry, against fascism. Never forget that love is love, and you deserve love. Especially from yourself. That is what pride means to me.”

“According to them, they are oppressed, and you are a hateful, fascist bigot if you oppose them,” wrote Gays Against Groomers. “Normalizing pedophilia was always the goal. They are the next victim class.”

Alice Day is reportedly a coded term used to celebrate pedophilia on April 25. The term is a reference to the 1865 novel Alice in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll, who has since been alleged to have been a pedophile.

“It is a rabbit hole, and depends on how far you want to go down,” said Dr. Jesse Bach, Director Emeritus for the Imagine Foundation, a non-profit developing research and recovery services for sex trafficking and pedophile victims, per an ABC 5 article from 2018 discussing the concept of Alice Day. “When you think that this is a crime that’s hidden in plain sight, from trusted people, right around you, that’s very difficult to stomach.”

Similar to YAP, the concept of pedophilia has also been redefined to refer to a “minor attracted person” (MAP).
