Colorado State University Bans Unvaccinated Student From Campus, Threatens Them With Arrest

Colorado State University banned a student from campus and threatened to have them arrested for not being vaccinated.

The student provided a copy of the email they received from the Student Resolution Center to conservative student group Turning Point USA.

The email began by saying “I am writing you on behalf of Student Conduct Services at the Student Resolution Center because information provided to our office by the Pandemic Preparedness Team indicates you have not submitted your proof of vaccination or requested an exemption.”

The university claimed that the student’s non-compliance with the requirement “poses a threat to the safety and well-being of the University community.” For this reason, they said that the student is “trespassed from all University property until May 16, 2022.”

Due to the trespass order, the student is banned from all university property — including residence halls, university apartments, dining halls, in-person classes, the library, the rec center and the student center.

“Please note that faculty are not required to make alternative arrangements for the student to complete their course work away from campus while you are trespassed from campus,” the email continued.

“If you are found on University property or in any University building you may be cited or arrested for trespassing and face further disciplinary action,” they added.

In order to have the ban lifted, the email explains, the student must comply with the vaccine mandate and provide proof of vaccination or request an exemption — “TODAY,” they added in all capital letters.

All CSU students are required to submit proof of vaccination or request an exemption. Those who are granted an exemption must submit to mandatory screenings twice a week “indefinitely.”

The university also requires all students to wear masks, whether they are vaccinated or not.

“If you are an unvaccinated illegal immigrant, you are welcome on CSU’s campus. If you are an unvaccinated alumni, you too are welcome on CSU’s campus. The same goes for if you are an unvaccinated guest speaker. You are welcome on CSU’s campus. But if you are a tuition-paying unvaccinated student, you will be arrested for trespassing on public property. Of course, if you’re vaccinated and happen to spread COVID-19 on campus, there are no consequences for your actions,” TPUSA noted.
