Detroit’s CBS 62 meteorologist April Moss announced mid-weather report on Sunday that she is sitting down with Project Veritas to expose discrimination at the station.
The move from Moss comes on the heels of Fox 26 KRIV-TV reporter Ivory Hecker making waves with a similar on-air announcement about working with Project Veritas.
“Today we saw temperatures above normal again, topping out at 85 degrees at Metro Airport, and plenty of sunshine today. But, all good things must come to an end and that starts as early as tomorrow morning with showers moving in around 8 a.m.,” Moss began. Without skipping a beat, she continued, “speaking of a brand new week, I will be sitting down this week with Project Veritas to discuss the discrimination that CBS is enforcing on its employees. Tune in to Project Veritas for my full story.”
She concluded her weather report by letting her viewers know to expect showers moving through later on in the day on Monday.
As of late Monday morning, Project Veritas had not yet hinted at what Moss told them or what she may be releasing.
Hecker, who made a similar announcement earlier this month, had been secretly recording her bosses.
In the audio she released through Project Veritas, her superiors were heard telling her to prioritize the opinion of the station’s General Manager, and the company’s CEO, above that of the audience.
Hecker also recorded Fox 26’s VP and News Director, Susan Schiller, telling her to “cease and desist” posting about Hydroxychloroquine on social media after she interviewed Dr. Joseph Varon, MD, Chief of Critical Care and COVID-19 Unit at United Memorial Medical Center in Houston. He had told her of his success using the drug on certain patients.
In another recording, a Fox 26 executive said that their “poor African-American audience” wouldn’t care about Bitcoin stories.
Following her immediate suspension from the station, a fundraiser for her was launched and raised $176,000.

In April, PV founder James O’Keefe filed a defamation lawsuit against the platform.
“The false accusation that Mr. O’Keefe operated ‘fake accounts’ is particularly damaging for Mr. O’Keefe because Mr. O’Keefe is a journalist,” the complaint read. “As such, his reputation for transparency and accurate reporting is fundamental to his profession.”
